UPDATED- Alert Issued for Durham Boy

An Amber alert has been issued for a Durham, NC child named Christopher Anthony Rojas. Christopher is a 5-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 50 pounds. He has black hair, and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark and light blue t-shirt and dark and light blue plaid shorts.

Allegedly, there is single abductor named Santos Reynaldo Aplicano Gomez.  Gomez is described as 35 years old, Hispanic, male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Reynoldo was last seen Wearing a blue shirt with a white “H”, black shorts, black socks and sandals, and a grey hoodie. He reportedly has a short goatee.

The pair were last seen around midnight at 2303 Lednum Street, Apt CB, Durham.

According to WRAL in Raleigh, 35-year-old Santos Reynaldo Aplicano Gomez has been apprehended and Christopher Anthony Rojas was dropped off at his mother’s home. Gomez has been charged with assault on a female, assault by strangulation, kidnapping, battery of an unborn child, assault in the presence of a minor, communicating threats and interfering with emergency communications.

Rojas’ mother told authorities that she had been wounded during a fight with Gomez before he left with Rojas and and his own 4-year-old son.
