On November 16th, 2015 at approximately 12:37am, officers with the WSPD began a search for 23 year-old Jaquan Manchezor Rodman following up on reports that Mr. Rodman had been kidnapped. While that search was underway, a motorist traveling north on US Highway 52 at University Parkway found a man lying beside the highway and immediately called 911. Evidence located at the scene indicated that Mr. Rodman had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

On Monday, December 21st, authorities charged 26 year old Tishaun Juawn Weaks and 25 year old Christopher Earl Vargas Jr. with First Degree Murder and First Degree Kidnapping in connection to the November 17th murder of Jaquan Rodman. Both men were taken into custody at the Public Safety Center without incident and are being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center with no bond allowed.

A court date of January 07, 2016 has been set.

UPDATE:

Tuesday morning authorities made a third arrest in the investigation into the murder of Jaquan Rodman.  Authorities charged 25 year old Laquan Marcese Pendleton with First Degree Murder and First Degree Kidnapping.  With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Pendleton was apprehended in Clemmons without incident.  Laquan Pendleton is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center with no bond allowed.
