FLASH:
Some Winston-Salem students who face economic challenges that most of us could never truly understand need your help. Ashley Elementary School’s 5th grade class has an opportunity to take an overnight field trip to our nation’s capitol, Washington, D.C. during the first week in June. Some of the 63 students are unable to do so because of financial difficulties. Donations are needed.
The cost per student is $125.00 and School and parent organizations are in conversation about how the trip will be funded for students who cannot afford to pay. There are some additional fundraisers planned, (a bowling tournament in April, etc.), but adequate funds may still be a problem. For many of us sponsoring a child outright or offering to pay part of one student’s trip is within our financial grasp. If you can help or want to participate in the bowling tournament please go HERE to do so.
