The cause of a car wreck that occured monday afternoon has still not been determined. What is known is that patrol officers with the WSPD responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of Grandview Club Road and Rock Hill Road at approximately 3:57pm.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Civic, operated by 17 year-old Julia Nicole Guarantano was traveling eastbound on Rock Hill Road and a Jeep Cherokee operated by 68 year-old William Virgil Brewer Jr. was traveling southbound on Grandview Club Road. The collision occurred in the intersection of the two roadways. The cause of this collision is still being investigated. he 3500 and 3600 blocks of Grandview Club Road were closed for approximately 4 hours, because of the wreck. A detour was utilized to assist the citizens that needed to travel in this area during the time the roadway was closed.
Ms. Guarantano is being treated at WFU Baptist Hospital for serious injuries. Mr. Brewer is being treated at Forsyth Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
