Police Make Second Arrest in Break-In that Resulted in School Shutdown

On Febuary 1st, patrol officers with the WSPD repsonded to a reported bearking and entering and shots fired on Redbud Lane. The incident led to a manhunt that locked down both Mt. Tabor High School and Speas Elementary for a short time. (Read more HERE)

On February 1st, On 02-01-2016, 17 year-old Steven Austin Brown was arrested in the 2300 block of Redbud Lane, while attempting to run away from the responding Officers. A second accomplice was able to escape on foot.

Tuesday, February 9th 17 year-old Jeremiah Lebrain Morris-Smith was identified through investigative means and was also arrested for his involvement in this case. He turned himself into an investigating detective. Both have been charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering and Brown was charged with attempting to resist/delay.obstruct a government official.

No other suspects are currently being sought in this case.
