Twin City Youth Soccer Association to Host Southern Soccer Showcase

Twin City Youth Soccer Association, one of the largest youth soccer associations in North Carolina, has announced it will host the 2015 Southern Soccer Showcase sponsored by Mercedes Benz April 28th-29th, at BB&T Soccer Park, in Bermuda Run, outside of Winston-Salem.

The 2014 Southern Soccer Showcase is a nationally-recognized event that brings together the best women’s college and club-level teams from across the country. The following top college teams have committed to play at the event:

  • The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Wake Forest University
  • Virginia Tech
  • The University of Pittsburgh
  • Western Carolina University
  • Liberty University
  • Duke University
  • Appalachian State University
  • University of Tennessee
  • North Carolina State University
  • The University of North Carolina at Greensboro
  • The University of North Carolina Wilmington
  • The University of North Carolina Charlotte
  • University of South Carolina
  • Clemson University

Coaches of these teams, as well as other colleges and universities from across the country, will be recruiting at the event, which is also hosting club-level teams from 14 states and Canada. In addition to the college matches, 107 Girls’ U15 – U19 teams will compete against each other throughout the weekend.

“Twin City Youth Soccer Association is thrilled to be presenting the Southern Soccer Showcase, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Winston-Salem,” said Scott Wollaston, executive director of TCYSA. “This event highlights some of the best college soccer teams in the country, while also exposing the next generation of players to college coaches. The event has proven to be highly successful for players, coaches and fans, and I would like to encourage soccer fans of all ages to come out to the event and experience these exciting matches.”
