FLASH:
On Wednesday afternoon at aproximately 4:05pm, the WSPD responded to a two vehicle collision in the intersection of Second Street and Spring Street. The accident involved Mayor Allen Joines, who was cited for Unsafe Movement. Neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the accident and neither driver was injured.
Both vehicles were traveling east on Second Street. Mr. Joines was operating his personal vehicle and drifted into the adjoining lane, colliding with the right side of a vehicle operated by Mr. Aaron Whiteford. The total damage to both vehicles involved is estimated at $3500.
