Early Friday morning at around 3:10 a.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home invasion call on Brussels Court, Walkertown, N.C. The victim reported that four subjects had entered her home and had stolen several items of value.
FCSO Deputies determined the suspects had gained entry into the residence by deception, claiming to be a relative of the female victim. The male suspect held the woman down and threatened to harm her with a gun while the other three female suspects removed items from the residence.
The suspects fled the scene in a what was described as a gray sport utility vehicle. FCSO deputies developed an address for one of the suspects and found all of them at a Baux Mountain Road home with some of the stolen property.
Twenty-eight year-old Lowell Thomas Manring II, 23 year-old Leah Anne West, 19 year-old Tiffany Ranae Hicks, and 18 year-old Maranda Elizabeth Bowles were arrested and charged with felonious first degree burglary, felonious second degree kidnapping and felonious robbery with a dangerous weapon.
All suspects are confined to the Forsyth County Detention Center with Manring and West being held under no bond allowed, while Hicks and Bowles each have a $75,000 secured bond. West was also served with five additional orders for arrest for failure to appear, as well as a probation violation for absconding. A preliminary hearing for all suspects is scheduled for July 3, 2014.
