FLASH:
Tuesday officers with the WSPD responded to assist the Winston-Salem Fire Department at a house fire on Rockbridge Court.
During the initial investigation, the Winston Salem Fire Department Fire Investigator determined that the fire was the result of arson.
Collaborative efforts by the Winston Salem Fire Department Fire Investigator and the Winston Salem Police Department Arson Task Force revealed that the fire was set by Kenneth Wayne Cockman, husband to Angela B. Cockman. Mr. Cockman was not at the scene during the preliminary investigation, but was later arrested when he returned home.
Kenneth W. Cockman was charged with Second Degree Arson, Burning of Personal Property, and Felony Cruelty to Animals. Cockman was placed under a $101,500.00 Secured Bond.
